This is the renovation project from residence to office. The original building has been constructed in 1973. To preserve the advantages of sunlight into inside from 3 façades, all existing wall was removed and one space which we can feel spacious will be provided. The one space will be divided with several ceiling height and floor level without wall. This architectural control was intended to create cozy space separated loosely. Existing material and lighting fixture were reused as new interior to reduce the renovation cost and to make a good relationship between new residents and existing space.
築40年以上経過した4階建て鉄骨造ビルの一部を事務所に改修する計画である。間仕切り壁を全て撤去すると現れる3面採光のポテンシャルを活かすことを考えた。壁による間仕切りは無くし、明るく広がりのある一体空間としつつも、天井や床の操作により、用途に応じた緩やかな区切りを持たせることで、空間にメリハリのある居心地をつくることを意図した。また、撤去されるはずであった古材を打合せエリア壁面に、既存照明器具をエントランス壁掛け照明へと再利用することで、コストダウンを図りつつも、「この場所」にしかない時間の要素を残す計画とし、入居者と「この場所」が良い関係が築けることを期待している。
